Studio Policies
Our mission is to provide elite technical training in a supportive, professional, and community-driven environment where dancers of all ages and experience levels feel empowered to define what dance means to them.
We believe discipline and encouragement can coexist. Whether a student is dancing recreationally, competitively, collegiately, or simply for the love of movement, we are committed to fostering confidence, growth, athleticism, artistry, and professionalism.
Below are just a few of our most important policies designed to keep you, your athlete, our staff, and our studio safe and orderly. We appreciate your part in keeping The Crosby Dance Collective the best it can be!

Studio
Etiquette
The Crosby Dance Collective is equipped with professional sprung flooring designed to support dancer safety, reduce impact, and promote long-term physical wellness.
Students are expected to wear proper footwear and follow instructor corrections to help maintain safe training practices.
Dress Code
Students are expected to arrive in proper dance attire with hair secured neatly away from the face.
Ballet
• Level colored leotard • Black/pink tights • Pink ballet slippers • Hair in bun
Jazz / Contemporary / Lyrical
• Form-fitting dancewear • Jazz shoes, turners, or barefoot (as instructed)
Hip Hop
• Athletic clothing • Clean sneakers dedicated to studio use only
Tap
• Black Tap shoes • Comfortable dancewear
Strength & Conditioning / Sports Performance
• Athletic attire • Sneakers • Water bottle
Attendance Policy
Consistent attendance is essential for dancer growth and classroom progression.
• Students should arrive on time and prepared for class. • Excessive absences may impact placement, performance opportunities, or advancement. • Missed classes are non-refundable. • Makeup classes may be offered when appropriate and space allows.
Tuition & Payment Policies
• Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. • Auto-pay is required for all enrolled accounts. • Tuition is non-refundable. • Late payments may result in late fees or temporary suspension from class participation. • Returned payments are subject to additional fees.
Inclement Weather
Weather-related closures will be communicated through:
• Email • Social media • Dance Studio Pro notifications
Whenever possible, makeup classes will be offered.
Pick Up & Drop Off
• Students should be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes before class.
• Parents/guardians must pick students up promptly after class.
• CDC is not responsible for students outside scheduled class times.
Classroom Expectations
Students are expected to:
• Show respect to instructors and classmates
• Refrain from disruptive behavior
• Maintain positive sportsmanship
• Keep phones silenced and away during class
• Demonstrate professionalism and accountability
Social Media & Photo Release
The Crosby Dance Collective may photograph or film classes, performances, rehearsals, and events for marketing and promotional purposes.
Parents may opt out through the studio photo release form.
Injury & Health Policy
Students should notify instructors of any injuries or physical limitations before class.
CDC reserves the right to limit participation if a dancer appears injured or unsafe to continue training.
Bullying & Respect Policy
The Crosby Dance Collective maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior.
Any behavior that disrupts the safety or well-being of students, staff, or families may result in dismissal from the program.
Performance & Recital Expectations
Participation in performances requires:
• Consistent attendance
• Appropriate classroom behavior
• Timely costume payments
• Participation in scheduled rehearsals
